Zakka

Zakka (from the Japanese 'zak-ka'(雑貨)or 'many things') is a fashion and design phenomenon that has spread from Japan throughout Asia. The term refers to everything and anything that improves your home, life and appearance.

On Friday while meeting a friend for dinner in Lygon st I popped into readings bookstore and found a great sewing book titled 'Zakka Style'. Compiled by: Rashida Coleman-Hale.

Most of the patterns have linen, I love linen. I jumped on eBay & ordered a few meters to make some cute stuff from this book!

My first Quilt

Hi everyone, thought I would post up some pics of my first quilt completed today!

That binding took me a while (didn't realise you hand sewed it!) lol A few nights in front of the tv!

I did get help from my friends at our sewing days though, I can't take all the credit!

This has been made for a close friend of mine that is having a baby in match. It took me around 3 months to make.

Fabric:
Bunting was from - Moda Charm Pack ~ Grow with Me ~ Deb Strain, Katie Strain and Arrin Turnmire
Solid white, green cotton, & printed safari for back was from spotlight!
